Most people think that healthy eating is an extremely complicated affair and are generally intimidated by nutritional experts. In truth, there is a very simple yet effective way of improving our eating habits. Our muscles are covered by fat, called subcutaneous fat. If we need to see our muscles, it’s quite obvious that we have to get rid of the thing that’s hiding it. So the first thing to do is to load our plates with protein and vegetables (preferably multi-coloured). A diet high on protein makes us feel full for a longer time and keeps our belly flat, whereas eating food high on carbohydrates makes us bloated!! Secondly, reduce the consumption of ‘dry’ carbohydrates like white rice and bread. It’s better to hog on unrefined ‘carbs’ like whole-wheat pasta. Finally have a lot of fibre. It really helps. It’s very easy to eat ‘well’ !
